Home Enjoyment

What is Home Enjoyment? Home Enjoyment is what we call "Homework" at Incito Schools. We believe that all Home Enjoyment should be tailored to fit the needs of your child(ren).  We also believe that since your child is in school with us for 8 1/2 hours a day constantly learning, it is unnecessary to send home an abundance of home enjoyment with your child every night. I will occasionally  be sending home work that is directly alligned to what your child is learning in class and/or send work that your child needs more practice on for success.  We will have a list of spelling words that we will be working on throughout the week. There is a link on the sidebar with this information so you can help your child practice at home. I encourage reading for 30 minutes a night for enjoyment at home on a book of their choice.   If you would like more Home Enjoyment for your child, please send me a private email and I will be able to support you and your child in this.

Social Studies/Writing Home Enjoyment Project

Your child brought home a Home Enjoyment project last Monday. The assignment was to write a biography on an important person from the Renaissance.  We wrote one as a class on Leonardo da Vinci the week prior to that, so they should understand how to do it without much support. They have all of the materials needed to complete the project. The expectation is that they selecet a person (a list of people was sent in the packet), complete the outline, write a rough draft including an introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and a concluding statement/paragraph, have someone edit and revise their rough draft, publish their writing by either typing it our writing it with nice handwriting, draw a picture representing their person for the cover, write at least 5 fun facts about them, and write the bibliography showing what resources they used.  This is due Thursday, November 21st.  Thank you for your support at home.
